When you initially come on board as a new Dimension Data Application Operations customer, you will start in our Activations phase. The Dimension Data Activations Team will hold an initial Kickoff meeting to introduce you and your team to Dimension Data and to gather the detailed requirements necessary to ensure a successful and on time delivery of your environment. Dimension Data will propose an Infrastructure Hand-Over Date (IHOD) when your infrastructure will be deployed and ready. Billing for the monthly fees associated with Dimension Data Application Operations commences on this date.
The Activations team will then drive the deployment and provisioning of the necessary network infrastructure, servers, and storage. They also support the software provisioning, application installation, and application customization required for deployment. As your application is deployed, Dimension Data will implement all monitoring necessary to measure your application’s availability and performance, in preparation for the “go live” date when your application goes into production within the Dimension Data environment.
After the “go live” data, the Activations phase is completed, and the Dimension Data Support Team takes ownership of the environment, including day to day requests, security updates, and environment health. Dimension Data consistently meets average time to resolution targets for varying severity level incidents by taking advantage of our global presence and “follow the sun” support model. This global presence allows Dimension Data to have skilled and talented engineers available to respond to urgent requests and monitoring alerts around the clock, and around the world.
